The YFB4 series is specially designed for hazardous dust environments (suitable for Zone 21 dust atmospheres) and is manufactured to national standards. The motor features reinforced sealing and dust-protection structures, optimized ventilation and cooling design, and balances high efficiency with strong resistance to dust ingress for long-term reliable operation. The product is suitable for explosion-proof fans, pumps, compressors, belt conveyors, gearboxes and similar driven equipment, and is widely used in petroleum, chemical, fertilizer, grain milling, powder processing, and other industries that operate in dust-hazard zones (excluding underground coal mines).

Selection & On-Site Recommendations

  • Higher protection & anti-corrosion: For dusty, humid or corrosive environments, choose elevated protection grades and anti-corrosion finishes; regularly clean heat-dissipation ribs and ventilation ports to prevent dust buildup that impairs cooling.

  • Bearing & lubrication for heavy duty: For frequent start-stop or heavy starting torque conditions, specify reinforced bearings, re-lubrication or oil-bath schemes and consider bearing insulation/grounding to prevent electrochemical corrosion.

  • VSD advice: If VSD operation is required, specify at order stage; evaluate the need for dv/dt / LCL output filtering and cable shielding to protect motor insulation and reduce shaft currents — inverter parameters and cable length significantly affect motor life.

  • Installation & wiring: Follow dust-explosion electrical installation codes: use certified dust-proof explosion-proof cable glands, sealed junction boxes, effective grounding and shielding to ensure on-site safety.
